Watford in talks with Rennes over the signing of their Senegalese winger Ismaila Sarr, according to Sky Sports
Watford are interested in Rennes's winger Ismaila Sarr according to Sky Sports and they are yet to meet the French side's president, Olivier Letang demands who's reportedly rejected a €30 million bid for the Senegalese winger earlier this summer.
Rennes's president is open to negotiation should a suited offer come and it's yet unknown how the French club valuates the player.
Furthermore, L’Equipe has reported that Sarr has told his Senegal teammates that he wants to move to Watford and that the Hornets are optimistic about the deal.
Sarr could break Watford's transfer records which is currently the £18m they paid Burnley for Andre Gray.
Sarr made 50 appearances with the French club this season and participated in 24 goals, scoring 13 and assisting 11 others.
The player is currently playing with Senegal in Africa Cup of Nations as his national team is set to face Tunisia this Sunday for the semi-finals of the cup.
