Tottenham Hotspur announce the signing of the French middle-fielder Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon for a fee of £55 million
After a whole season without making any deals, Tottenham went all out this time to bring the French star Ndombele to the Premier League.
Spurs spent £55 million plus €10 milllion in add-ons on the 22 years old officially breaking their all-time transfer records which was the Colombian defender Davinson Sánchez who costed the Champions League runner-ups £42 million on 2017.
Ndombele will sign a six-years contract and will reportedly net a wage of £200,000 per week in North London, becoming one of Tottenham's highest earners.
The French was a hot target for many big clubs this year such Real Madrid and Manchester United and Lyon's chairman decided his value as €75 million.
Ndombele showed remarkable performance last season both in Ligue 1 and the Champions League, he played 49 games, scored 3 goals and assisted 8 others.
His middle-field material is one to count, he had a passing accuracy last season of 89%, won 67 tackles, had conceded yellow cards and 0 red cards.
