Bayern Munich have officially announced that their defender Mats Hummels is set to go back to his former team Borussia Dortmund in a deal worth €38 million
It was only a matter of time until an agreement is reached between the Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund over the Dutch defender Mats Hummels who wants to join his former team Dortmund.
And now, the Bavarian have confirmed that the 30 years old is set to join his former team for a deal that will cost BVB €38 million.
Dortmund have already been investing this summer, after they announced the signing of Nico Schulz and Thorgan Hazard and Julian Brandt, it was now the right time to make an emotional transfer by getting back their veteran defender Mats Hummels.
The world cup winner re-joined his original team Bayern Munich on 10 May 2016, played with them 118 matches since then, scored 8 goals and assisted 9, won 3 Bundesliga titles during that time, 1 German Cup and 3 German super cups.
And now he's set to begin a new adventure again with Dortmund after the BVB announced contract extension with their manager Lucien Favre until June 2021.
