Manchester United are confident about signing the English defender Harry Maguire despite Leicester's £90m asking price
The race between Manchester City and Manchester United continues for Leicester's defender Harry Maguire and this time, Manchester United are more confident about signing the English defender claims Evening Standard.
Manchester United are in front of a big challenge as Pep's City are willing to make Maguire the most expensive Defender in the history of football to replace Kompany's departure.
However, Leicester's demands are still the same, £90 million and they will not let go of the English any lower.
Maguire has now overtaken Kalidou Koulibaly as Solskjaer’s primary target in central defense, given the Norwegian’s drive towards domestic talent.
The player recently liked a comment on his Instagram post which said: ''you're going to be fan favorite in Manchester United.''
But later, the 26 years old explained on his twitter account that it was only a mistake
I didn’t mean to guys... we’ve all been there 🤷🏻♂️😂 https://t.co/z2whONT6Po

City are also ready to consider alternatives if his price gets too high, but it’s understood Koulibaly is not under consideration, despite claims they’ve already tabled an offer for the Napoli defender.
