Manchester City's failed efforts to keep Leroy Sané amidst Bayern Munich's interest made their eyes go to Real Sociedad's forward Mikel Oyarzabal
Looks like the German winger is getting closer and closer to join Bundesliga's giants Bayern Munich who are not willing to give up on their 'dream signing' as Bayern's coach Niko Kovač described.
Should Sané leave, the Premier League giants will set out to sign Real Sociedad's forward Oyarzabal according to reports in Spain, the Spanish forward has a release clause of €75 million (£68m) and the Spanish team would most likely refuse to sell their player below that price as they consider him the first star of their team.
The players himself has sworn loyalty to the Basques by renewing his contract in 2018 as he said:
"I had no doubts. I want to make history at Real Sociedad."
The Citizens could need Pep's convincing to pull off this one and make the player ask his team to accept to negotiate or there will be a release case.
Oyarzabal is a player to watch indeed and his star could shine the brightest at the Premier League especially under one of the world's best managers as Pep Guardiola, he might not be as fast as Sané but his intelligence with the ball and versatile could make up for that. He's a modern player who could play in multiple positions in the field and involve himself inside the box to create more threat to the opponent, not to forget his ability to shout outside the box who could prove useful to Pep's style.
The 22 years old played 151 matches with Real Sociedad's shirt in which he could help his team score 61 goals by scoring 38 and assisting 23 others but unlucky for him, he couldn't win any title with Sociedad which could change if he managed to join Manchester City.
