Real Madrid's latest signing Ferland Mendy shares his tough time with surgery and how he overcame it and made his way to Real Madrid
Looks like the French full-back hasn't had it easy to make it this far and join one of the best clubs in the world's history, Real Madrid. during his presentation today with the Los Blancos, he told the press how it was hard for him and how he fought his way through to be right where he is now.
"When I was 15 I had a hip operation and they told me I would never play football again," Mendy said.
"I was in a wheelchair for a while and I spent between six and seven months in hospital doing rehabilitation so I could walk again, Now I'm at Real Madrid. It's incredible."
Ferland Mendy came from the French club Lyon on a deal worth €48 million after an incredible season Les Gones and about his move to Real Madrid he said:
"At the beginning I just couldn't believe it, This is a great club and being able to sign a contract with them to me is something absolutely incredible, fantastic. I'm absolutely overjoyed and hopefully everything will go well here."
